Eagles trounce UOP Tigers


NEWTON, Mass. -- Freshman Jenna Bike scored once and set up three goals as the Boston College women’s team took a 5-1 win over Pacific in a non-conference match at the Newton Soccer Field Sunday.

BC (5-0-1) improved its winning streak to four games. Freshman Kayla Jennings headed in Bike’s corner kick for her fourth goal of the season in the 16th minute.

UOP (0-5-0) had a chance as Katelyn Chandler hit the post in the 13th minute. Bike finished a McKenzie Meehan feed for a 2-0 lead in the 53rd minute. Hayley Dowd, Amber Stearns and Meehan (51st career goal) also scored for BC. In the 81st minute, Sigrid Aas scored for UOP.
