BC Eagles crushed by North Carolina


CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- The Boston College menís team dropped its second successive conference match as the Eagles fell, 5-0, to No. 9-ranked North Carolina in an ACC game at Fetzer Field Friday night.

The Eagles (5-3-0 overall, 1-2-0 ACC) extended their conference scoreless streak to 219 consecutive minutes. Nils Bruenig scored four times for the Tar Heels (7-1-0, 3-0-0), providing a 2-0 halftime lead with goals in the 33rd and 35th minutes, then adding goals in the 82nd and 83rd minutes. Bruenig opened the scoring off an Alan Winn cross, then was assisted by Winn and Nico Melo. Winn scored off a Jeremy Kelly assist in the 85th minute.

Senior Isaac Normesinu had two shots on goal and Maximilian Schulze-Geisthovel took three shots for BC.
