BC Eagle men blanked at home
NEWTON, Mass. -- The Boston College menís team had its three-match home unbeaten streak snapped, the Eagles falling, 2-0, to Harvard in a non-conference match at the Newton Campus Field Tuesday night.
The Eagles (6-4-1) outshot the Crimson (6-3-2), 10-1 in the second half and 14-9 overall.
Taner Dogan gave the Crimson the lead in the fourth minute, finishing his own rebound off a Cedric Saladin save, following a Justin Crichlow throw-in.
The Eagles nearly equalized six minutes later as Simon Enstromís shot was saved off a Zeiko Lewis through ball.
Harvard scored in the 21st minute as Tyler Savitsky converted off a deflected Cesar Farias cross.
The Eaglesí Trevor Davock threatened off an Enstrom feed late in the half, his angled shot saved.
