BC taken out by Tigers

CLEMSON, S.C. -- The Boston College Eagles surrendered an 89th-minute goal on a free kick in falling, 1-0, to No. 3-ranked Clemson in the semifinals of the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament at Historic Riggs Field Wednesday night.

The No. 25 Eagles (8-8-3) stayed in contention as sophomore Cedric Saladin saved a 42nd-minute Diego Campos penalty kick. BC senior Zeiko Lewis had a shot saved from the top of the penalty area in the 57th minute, then a streaking Simon Enstrom fired wide after a steal by freshman Lasse Lehman. Alex Happi then headed in an Aaron Jones free kick.
