BU Terriers' losing streak continues
HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. -- The Boston University women's team lost its third successive game, a 2-0 decision to Hofstra in a non-conference game at Hofstra Soccer Stadium Thursday night.
Jill Mulholland scored on long-distance shots in the 48th and 67th minutes for Hofstra (2-1-0), which defeated BU for the first time in 10 meetings.
BU (0-3-0) and Hofstra put two attempts on goal during the first half, the Pride outshooting the Terriers, 13-4. In second half, the Terriers took 12 shots, seven on net. The Terriers were outshot, 20-16, and had nine shots on net to Hofstra's five the Terriers put nine on net.
In her first start, Hannah Ciolek made three saves for BU.
