BU Terriers trip Northeastern


The Boston University menís team, playing with a two-man advantage for most of the match, cruised to a 3-0 victory over Northeastern at Nickerson Field Tuesday night.

Magnus Benediktsson set up first half goals by senior Felix De Bona (19th minute) and junior Anthony Viteri (32nd) as BU (2-1-0) took a 2-0 halftime lead.

Northeastern (1-4-0) had two ejections, Moustafa Samb in the 28th minute and Khesanio Hall in the 33rd minute. The Terriers, led by defender David Asbjornsson, did not allow a shot on goal and outshot the Huskies, 21-5.

Freshman Matt McDonnell added 56th-minute goal off a cross from Mark Wadid.
