BOSTON UNIVERSITY TERRIERS

September 15, 2016
LESSON NO. 9
BU Terrier women blanked by Northeastern

The Boston University women's team dropped its ninth successive game a 2-0 decision to Northeastern at Nickerson Field Thursday night.

Kayla Cappuzzo scored off a Hannah Rosenblatt through ball in the 29th minute and Carly Wilhelm finished from 12 yards in the 74th minute.

The Terriers (0-9-0) had a 6-4 shots-on-goal edge over the Huskies (4-4-1).

“If we take lessons learned, I think these first nine games have prepared us well,” BU coach Nancy Feldman said. “There have been a lot of positives coming out of these last nine games and we have certainly seen strides made in our organization and in our attacking style.

“With the start of Patriot League play, it gives us a chance to start 0-0 again. I love this team. There is nothing wrong with this team and if they can avoid feeling heavy about these results, we will go into the rest of the season knowing that everything we are doing is actually good.”
