Terriers tripped by Princeton Tigers


PRINCETON, N.J. -- The Boston University menís team had an unsuccessful debut on ESPNU-TV, falling, 2-1, to Princeton at Roberts Stadium Friday night.

BU (2-2-0) took the lead as sophomore Magnus Benediktsson flicked on a cross from Anthony Viteri for his first career goal in the 32nd minute. The Tigers (2-2-0) equalized on Vikram Pothuriís 35th-minute score off a long ball from Mark Romanowski, headed on by Benjamin Martin. Martin scored the deciding goal in the 56th minute, going around senior Matt Gilbert and finishing into an empty net. BU freshman had a late shot from distance saved by Josh Haberman.
