Terrier men tripped by AU

The Boston University menís teamís four-game home winning streak was snapped as the Terriers fell, 2-0, to American in a Patriot League match at Nickerson Field Saturday.

Senior Matt Gilbert tied a career high with 10 saves for BU (3-4-1 overall, 0-1-1 PL). Freshman Matt McDonnell and senior Felix De Bona narrowly misfired in the opening half for BU.

AU (5-3-3, 2-0-0) took the lead as Panos Nakhid finished a low cross from Kibu Mbaluku in the 50th minute. Nakhid then found Joe Iraola, who chipped past Gilbert in the 71st minute.
