BU Terrier men blank Black Knights

Anthony Viteriís 49th-minute goal gave the Boston University men's team a 1-0 win over Army West Point in a Patriot League match at Nickerson Field Saturday night.

The Terriers (7-6-2 overall, 3-3-2 PL) moved into fifth place in the league and can clinch a place in the Patriot League tournament with a win in their regular-season finale against visiting Navy at 7 p.m. Friday.

Matt Gilbert made four saves for BU. Viteri scored his seventh goal of the season off a David Amirani through ball, finishing inside the right post from the top of the penalty area. BU had a 20-13 shots advantage over the Black Knights (8-6-2, 4-3-1).

In a pre-game ceremony, the Terriers recognized seniors Amirani, Felix De Bona, David Asbjornsson, Peter Brodeur and Noah Sinkoff
