MEN'S COLLEGE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
BU Terriers' forward Anthony Viteri
The Boston University Terriers appear to have recovered from a slow start to the season, making a strong run to the Patriot League tournament. And the Felix De Bona-Anthony Viteri forward combination has played a major part of the Terriers’ success.
Viteri, the New England Soccer News Men's Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 31, scored in wins over Holy Cross (2-0) and Army West Point (1-0) last week as BU continued a 4-1-1 run in six games since Oct. 5.
Viteri transferred to BU from St. John’s last year, totaling six goals and providing a strong complement to De Bona, who totaled nine goals, as the Terriers advanced to the NCA tournament for the first time since 2008. This season, De Bona has scored eight goals and Viteri, who played for the New York Red Bulls Academy teams, seven.
