Totti, Robinson, Gressel earn first team honors

Boston area products Wuilito “Totti” Fernandes and Miles Robinson, plus Providence forward Julian Gressel, have been named first team NSCAA All-Americas.

Fernandes, 26, who played at Boston International High School, scored 11 goals in 16 matches as UMass Lowell compiled a 13-1-2 record. Robinson, 19, a U.S. U-20 national team defender from Arlington and Syracuse University, is one of two sophomores (along with Maryland’s Gordon Wild) on the team. Gressel scored 15 goals as the Friars reached the quarterfinals of the NCAA tournament.

Also named to the first team was Wake Forest midfielder Ian Harkes, son of former New England Revolution star John Harkes.
