Big Green women defeat Great Danes
HANOVER, N.H. -- First half substitute Bianca Ribi ignited the Dartmouth women’s team offense as the Big Green defeated Albany, 3-1, at Burnham Field Friday night.
Ribi scored off the far post from a difficult angle for her first goal of the season in the 41st minute. The Big Green (5-2-0) upped the lead to three goals as junior Brittany Champagne (45th) and Remy Borinsky (50th scored before Caroline Kopp (81st) cut the Great Dane (3-6-0) deficit.
“We moved the ball really well and played simple in the first half,” Dartmouth coach Ron Rainey said. “Offensively it led to a ton of possessions and some nice chances.”
