SPOTTING THEM TWO
Big Green women toppled by Tigers

PRINCETON, N.J. -- The Dartmouth women’s team surrendered two goals in the opening seven minutes in falling, 2-0, to Princeton in an Ivy League match Saturday.

Princeton (8-1-1 overall, 1-0-1 Ivy) took the lead in the fifth minute as Abby Givens shot past Casey Cousineau, the sequence starting as Mimi Asom crossed to Tyler Lussi. Two minutes later, Lussi finished a long free kick from Jesse McDonough.

Dartmouth (6-4-0, 0-2-0) had surrendered four goals going into the match.

“It was tough giving up the early goals, but as the game went on we were able to create some chances,” Big Green coach Ron Rainey said. “In the second half we tried to look at some formation changes to generate some more opportunities. It’s tough in this league spotting a team two goals, but we’ll fix those things and work hard to get ready to take on Yale.”
