Dartmouth men squash Quakers

HANOVER, N.H. -- The Dartmouth men’s team improved its unbeaten streak to five games with a 4-1 victory over Penn in an Ivy League match at Burnham Field Saturday.

The Big Green (4-2-5 overall, 2-0-1 Ivy) won its third successive match, taking the lead in the sixth minute as Noah Paravicini finished off a long ball from Tyler Dowse. In the 36th minute, Matt Danilack hit the near post.

In the 54th minute, Jonathan Nierenberg scored his second goal of the season off a Matt Greer feed for a two-goal lead.
In the 60th minute, Emmanuel Arteaga scored after combining with Greer on a breakaway for a three-goal advantage. The Quakers (3-3-5, 1-2-0) cut the deficit on a 72nd-minute header by Matt Poplawski. in the 78th minute, Yima Asom earned a penalty kick, Wyatt Ormsberg converting.

“Firstly I am very proud of the team tonight, Big Green coach Chad Riley said. “They showed great character and focus, Ivy League games always take your best effort and Penn is a good team and it took our best effort tonight. Overall I feel it was a mature performance and it is always the goal to match a performance with a result."
