Dartmouth men clip Columbia

NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Justin Donawa scored in the 71st minute as the Dartmouth menís team remained in first place in the Ivy League with a 1-0 win over Columbia Saturday night.

The Big Green (5-3-5 overall, 3-0-1 Ivy), winning for the fourth time in five games, overtook Harvard, setting up a showdown for the lead when the Crimson visits Dartmouth next Saturday. The Lions (8-3-1, 2-1-1) had an 11-7 edge in shots.

"Firstly credit to Columbia they are an excellent team, certainly an NCAA caliber team,Ē Dartmouth coach Chad Riley said. "I thought it was a great game overall and I am very proud of the team. We always knew this was going to be a strong test and I am very pleased with our performance especially in the second half. It was a true team effort."
