Dartmouth women announce seven signings

HANOVER, N.H. -- The Dartmouth women’s team has signed seven players to national letters of intent, the school announced Thursday.

The list includes goalkeeper Mariel Gordon (Plano, Texas); defenders Claire Trop (Seattle, Wash.) and Bonnie Shea (Atlanta, Ga.); midfielders Erin Kawakami (Palos Verdes, Calif.), Lorna MacFarlane (Wynnewood, Pa.) and Taylor Olson (Kirkland, Wash.) and forward Avery Schuldt (Wilmette, Ill.).

“We are excited to add this class of newcomers to the Dartmouth community,” Big Green coach Ron Rainey said. “A couple of weekends ago we had them all on campus and they were able to skate on Occum Pond with our current players, take in tennis matches and a hockey game and get a great meal at Lou’s. We challenged them to get mentally and physically ready to play a huge part in helping our team in 2017.

“I feel it is a nice group that will add tremendously to our team athletically, academically, and socially. Dartmouth women’s soccer will embrace this group and allow them to flourish during their time here.”
