Crimson women's team adds six

Harvard University women’s coach Chris Hamblin announced six members of the incoming class of 2020 Tuesday: defender/midfielder Zoe Aigberomwan-Isibor, midfielder/forward Maggie Basta, defender/midfielder Kimaya Cole, goalkeeper Kat Hess and midfielders Lauren Spohn and Meg Tveit.

"We are very excited to welcome the freshman class to the Harvard women's soccer family," Hamblin said. "This talented group of players will bring a diverse set of experiences to the soccer program. The strengths of the freshman class compliment the talents of the returning players, which promises to provide an exciting and competitive preseason."

Last season, Harvard compiled an 8-7-2 record (5-1-1 mark in Ivy League) and had a league-leading eight All-Ivy selections.

Region One Olympic Development team selection for three international trips … Four years with Connecticut FC ECNL, and was a four-year starter at forward and midfielder for Greenwich Academy … Three-time all-state selection … Team captain … Three-time Fairchester Athletic Association All-League selection … 2015-16 all-region honoree … Greenwich Golden Boot winner with 30 goals as a senior.
• Kimaya Cole | D/M | Sacramento, Calif. | C.K. McClatchy
. San Juan Sprits ECNL and Union FC; was a four-year starter for C.K. McClatchy … Two-time Metro League selection … All-City honoree … Twice team MVP … Team won four straight conference championships … Team captain … Lettered in basketball.

U.S. Women's National Team from U-14 through U-18 levels … TopDrawerSoccer's No. 1 ranked goalkeeper … Played for SoCal Blues soccer club … First team All-CIF and All-Pacific Coast League in 2016, posting 12 shutouts … ODP All-Star team, earned regional top honors Cal South Soccer Federation Player of the Year in 2014 … Started on basketball team, second-team All-CIF selection as a senior and two-time All-League selection.
