WORCESTER, Mass. -- The Holy Cross women’s team had a three-game unbeaten streak spanning two seasons snapped with a 2-0 loss to UMass at the Linda Johnson Smith Soccer Stadium Monday.

In the opening half, UMass threatened on an 18th-minute shot from the top of the penalty area by Salma Anastasio, saved by Cashion. Bosnia and Herzegovina international Andj Seslija produced the Crusaders’ best opportunity, her low, 36th-minute shot grabbed by Cassidy Babin, who made four saves.
