Crusader women hammered by Huskies
BROOKLINE, Mass. -- The Holy Cross Crusaders womenís team lost its fifth successive game, a 4-0 defeat to Northeastern at Parsons Field Thursday night.
The Huskies (3-3-1) took the lead on a 21st-minute Kayla Cappuzzo goal off a through ball. In the 27th minute, the Crusaders (1-5-0) earned their only shot on goal of the game as junior defender Allie Neumannís attempt was saved.
Cappuzzo upped the NU lead to 2-0 in the 33rd minute. Hannah Lopiccolo (71st minute) and Hannah Rosenblatt (83rd) also converted.
Sophomore Emma Gurchiek made five saves before being replaced in the 76th minute by senior Brooke Holle, who made one save.
