Crusader women battle back against Black Knights

WEST POINT, N.Y. -- The Holy Cross women’s team snapped an eight-match losing streak, rallying for a 1-1 draw with Army West Point in a Patriot League match at Clinton Field Wednesday night.

Carly Katalinic gave Army (3-7-1 overall, 1-1-1 PL) the lead with a shot from the top of the penalty area in the third minute. Emily George’s first goal of the season tied the score in the first minute of the second half, and senior Brooke Holle made eight saves for Holy Cross (1-8-1, 0-2-1).

"I'm proud of the team's performance tonight," Crusaders coach Casey Brown said. "We proved we can be resilient, and we showed a lot of heart. We put together a complete game, and that will give us some great momentum moving forward."
