Crusader women dropped by Lafayette

EASTON, Pa. -- The Holy Cross women’s team dropped its second successive game, a 1-0 decision to Lafayette in a Patriot League match Saturday.

The Crusaders (2-10-2 overall, 1-3-2 PL) were outshot, 6-4, by Lafayette (5-5-4, 2-3-1), which broke the deadlock as Kaelin King finished a rebound in the 28th minute.

“Frustrating result from today’s game,” HC coach Casey Brown said. “We can’t come into a conference game without our fight. We will learn from this game and correct our mistakes so we can bounce back in our next matchup.”

The Crusaders’ Brooke Holle made five saves and sophomore Caroline Wallace had two shots, one on goal.
