Crusader women toppled by Terriers

WORCESTER, Mass. -- The Holy Cross women’s team sustained its third successive defeat, the Crusaders falling, 3-1, to Boston University in a Patriot League match Wednesday night.

The Crusaders (2-11-2 overall, 1-4-2 PL) were outshot, 15-11, by the Terriers (6-10-1, 6-1-0) in a Turnpike Trophy match.

Chelsea Churchill (37th and 42nd minutes) gave BU a 2-0 halftime lead. Jesse Shreck upped the advantage to 3-0 in the 57th minute.

Junior defender Allie Neumann cut the deficit with a 25-yard blast in the 85th minute, her second goal of the season.
