Crusader women clip American Eagles

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Holy Cross women’s team snapped a three-game losing streak with a 1-0 win over American in a Patriot League match Sunday.

Sophomore defender Caroline Wallace scored off an Emily George corner kick in the 76th minute as the Crusaders (3-11-2 overall, 2-4-2 PL) outshot the Eagles (1-15-2, 0-6-2), 8-6.

“We had a great team effort today and we’re very proud of our team,” HC coach Casey Brown said. “This group has grown in many areas of the game throughout the season, and a big part of that has been the ability to find a way.”
