Northeastern Huskies halt Hawks

PHILADELPHIA -- Chris Gbandi guided Northeastern men’s team to its first victory since he became coach this season, a 1-0 overtime victory over Saint Joseph’s Friday night.

Khesanio Hall scored in the 101st minute for the Huskies (1-1-0), one-timing a Jack Reynolds feed past Greg O’Connell off a free kick.

The Huskies, who snapped a five-match extra-time losing streak, their last overtime victory a 2-1 decision over James Madison Nov. 1, 2014. Gbandi, 37, the sixth coach in the program's history, played at UConn and starred as a defender in MLS.
