Northeastern women crush Crusaders
BROOKLINE, Mass. -- Junior Kayla Cappuzzo notched her first collegiate two-goal game as the Northeastern women's team took a 4-0 win over Holy Cross at Parson Field Thursday night.
The Huskies (3-3-1) scored the first goal of the game for the first time this season, Cappuzzo converting in the 21st and 33rd minutes, and held the Crusaders (1-5-0) to one shot on goal in completing their second shutout of the season.
Junior Hannah Lopiccolo and sophomore Hannah Rosenblatt recorded a goal and an assist. Junior Carly Wilhelm had two assists.
Cappuzzo scored her first goal off a through ball from Rosenblatt, then finished inside the right post off a Lopiccolo long ball.
Lopiccolo scored in the 71st minute off a Wilhelm cross from the left wing, then crossed for a Rosenblatt first-timer from close range in the 83rd minute.
