Northwestern women trip Tribe
BROOKLINE, Mass. -- Midfielder Carina Deandreis’ 100th-minute goal gave the Northeastern women’s team a 3-2 extra time win over William & Mary in a Colonial Athletic Association match at Parsons Field Friday night.
Deandreis sent in a 20-yard, left-foot volley off a clearance of a corner kick with seconds remaining in the first overtime as NU (9-5-1 overall, 4-1-0 CAA) outshot the Tribe (7-6-0, 1-3-0), 20-9, in winning its fourth successive game.
William & Mary took a two-goal halftime lead as Rachel Moore (20th minute) and Sarah Segan (37th) converted on shots from outside the penalty area.
Hannah Rosenblatt equalized with goals in the 48th and 49th minutes, heading in a Kayla Cappuzzo cross and sending in a 25-yarder from the left.
