Northeastern men halt Holy Cross
BROOKLINE, Mass. -- The Northeastern men's team took its second successive victory, a 3-1 decision over Holy Cross, in a Patriot League match at Parsons Field Wednesday night.
Northeastern (5-9-0) took the lead Christian McKenna scored on a rebound after his penalty kick was saved by Bobby Hurstak in the ninth minute, the Huskies’ first penalty attempt of the season. Kevin Carvalho (19th minute) and Brendan Massie (28th) then scored their first collegiate goals, Charlton Mulauri and Tristan Tippeconnic assisting.
The Crusaders (5-7-2), who outshot NU, 12-0, in the second half, cut the deficit on Arno Rupp’s 85th-minute penalty kick after an Edward Okey foul.
