PC captures Capital City Classic


PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Providence College menís team notched its fourth straight victory with a 2-0 blanking of Georgia State at Chapey Field in the R.I. Capital City Classic Sunday.

Providence (4-2-0) took the lead on Daniel Griffinís 47th-minute goal off a Brendan Constantine assist and Julian Gressel scored his fourth goal of the season in the 78th minute off a give-and-go with Brendon Reardon.

Redshirt sophomore Colin Miller made two saves, including a stop on Salomon Lorenzoís point-blank shot in the 26th minute. The Panthers (3-3-0) held a 12-7 shots advantage.
