Friar women clip Creighton

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Graduate student Kathryn Hiller scored her seventh goal of the season in the 99th minute as the Providence Friars women’s team defeated Creighton, 1-0, in extra time in a Big East Conference match at Anderson Stadium Saturday.

The Friars (10-4-2 overall, 4-1-1 conference) outshot the Bluejays (8-4-2, 3-3-0), 8-5. Lauren Sullivan recorded the lone first-half shot for the Bluejays in the 42nd minute. Senior Kristyn Shea posted two saves for the Friars, who had two shots on goal.
