UConn Husky women stopped by Seminoles

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- The No. 17 UConn womenís teamís two-game winning streak was stopped in a 3-0 loss to No. 1 Florida State at the Seminole Soccer Complex Thursday night.

UConn (5-2-0) was outshot, 8-2, in falling behind, 1-0, at halftime. FSU (4-1-0), playing its home opener, took the lead on a 44th-minute Kaycie Tillman goal. Macayla Edwards (66th) and Deyna Castellanos (69th) also scored past Emily Armstrong, who made three saves.

The Huskies rallied late as seniors Maddie Damm, Rachel Hill and Stephanie Ribeiro recorded shots in the last 10 minutes.
