STORRS, Conn. -- Redshirt senior Stephanie Ribeiro scored her NCAA Division 1-leading sixth game-winning goal as the No. 23-ranked UConn women's team took a 4-1 win over Fordham in a non-conference match at Joseph J. Morrone Stadium Thursday night.

Ribeiro also assisted on three goals, the first a 13th-minute score by freshman Kristen Vinciguerra after a Rachel Hill cross. UConn (8-2-0) upped the lead to 2-0 as Ribeiro headed in at the back post off a Tanya Altrui pass in the 49th minute. The Rams (5-3-1) cut the deficit in the 69th minute. Freshman Alexa Casimiro scored her first collegiate goal in the 82nd minute and Hill converted her sixth goal of the season in the 88th minute.
