UConn women mangle Memphis

STORRS, Conn. -- The UConn women’s team improved its winning streak to five games as seniors Rachel Hill and Stephanie Ribeiro scored twice in a 4-1 victory over Memphis in an American Athletic Conference match at Joseph J. Morrone Stadium Sunday.

Hill converted in the 24th and 86th minutes, improving her season total to 10 goals and career total to 55, third on the UConn (10-2-0 overall, 2-0-0 conference) list.

Ribeiro scored in the 26th and 31st minutes, upping her total to seven game-winning goals, best in NCAA Division 1 and tied for first with 12 goals.

Jessica Lisi scored on a 48th-minute free kick for the Tigers (7-3-1, 1-1-0).
