Husky men up winning streak to six

STORRS, Conn. -- The UConn menís team upped its winning streak to six games with a 5-0 victory over Cincinnati in an American Athletic Conference match before a 3,401 crowd at Joseph J. Morrone Stadium Saturday night.

Kwame Awuah scored two goals for UConn (9-3-0 overall, 3-0-0 conference), which completed its fourth successive shutout.

Abdou Mbacke Thiam opened the scoring in the 25th minute, finishing a rebound off Jake Nerwinski and Cheikh Stephane Coly assists. In the 33rd minute, Sebastian Brems scored his first goal of the season.

Awuah scored his first goal off a Thiam cross in the 52nd minute. Six minutes later, Simen Olafsen headed in a Brems corner. In the 67th minute, Awuah scored for the second time, finishing a Nerwinski pass from the right flank and finishing in to the bottom left corner of the net.
