UConn men stopped by Central Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The UConn menís team had its four-game road winning streak snapped as the Huskies fall, 2-1, in extra time to Central Florida in an America East Conference match at the UCF Soccer and Track Complex Saturday night.

UConn (11-5-0 overall, 3-2-0 conference) rallied as Kwame Awuah scored on the rebound of a Sebastian Brems shot for his first goal of the season in the 81st minute. UCF (4-8-0, 2-3-0) took the lead on Brian Jambaís shot off the underside of the bar from outside the penalty area in the 76th minute and broke the deadlock on Mattias Pyysaloís 93rd-minute strike, his ninth goal of the season, from the right corner of the penalty area.

UConn threatened in the second half on shots by Abdou Mbacke Thiam and Andrew Geres.
