WOMEN'S COLLEGE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
UConn Huskies' striker Rachel Hill
Rachel Hill and Stephanie Ribeiro have formed the deadliest strike force in the NCAA Division 1 game this season. Ribeiro (21 goals) and Hill (16) have totaled 37 goals, four more than BYUís Ashley Hatch (18) and Michele Vasconcelos (15).
And Hill, the New England Soccer News Women's Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 13, has continued to find her touch in tournament time, increasing her consecutive game scoring streak to three games with goals in the semifinals and finals of the America East Conference event and another in the first round of the NCAA Womenís Championship.
Hill and Ribeiro converted in UConnís 4-2 victory over Albany in the NCAA tournament, Hill increasing her career total to 61, two short of the Huskiesí all-time record, held by Moira Buckley.
