DAYTON, Ohio - Thanks to a 2-0 shutout win over Charlotte on Sunday, the UMass men's soccer team won the 2007 Atlantic 10 Conference Championship Tournament and will advance to the NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Tournament. Prince Ofosu tallied a second half goal for UMass (13-7-1) who received help from the 49ers after a first half own-goal. Keeper Zack Simmons earned his ninth shutout of the season and the 23rd of his career.

AMHERST, Mass. - UMass men's soccer goalkeeper Zack Simmons has earned two weekly honors after picking up his 16th career shutout on Saturday in a 1-0 win over Boston University to tie the school career shutout record. Simmons is now tied with Bryan O'Quinn who posted 16 shutouts in his career which ended in 2001. He now has two shutouts this season after earning a school single-season record 10 in 2006 and four in 2005.
