Minutemen bounce Bonnies

AMHERST, Mass. -- Kevin Boino's 69th-minute goal made the difference as the UMass men's team ran its unbeaten streak to four games with a 1-0 win over St. Bonaventure in an Atlantic 10 Conference match at Rudd Field Wednesday.

The Minutemen (4-6-2 overall 1-0-1 A-10), who earned their third successive shutout for the first time since the 2011 season, have a 4-1-1 record with four shutouts in the last six games.

Boino scored his second goal of the season and fourth of his career off a Henry Steinkamp pass, finishing to the back post from near the goal area past Luke Iacobellis.

The Bonnies (2-9-2, 1-2-1) attempted to equalize late, Jorge Becerra saving on Nikko Richards.
