UMass Minutemen up streak to five

DAVIDSON, N.C. -- Ty Goncalves’ 82nd-minute penalty kick gave the UMass men's team a 1-1 draw with Davidson in an Atlantic 10 Conference match at Alumni Field Saturday night.

The Minutemen (4-6-3 overall, 1-0-2 A-10) extended their unbeaten streak to five matches and are 4-1-2 over the last seven outings.

The Wildcats (3-9-1, 1-2-1) broke the deadlock on Maxi Pragnell’s 59th-minute goal. Goncalves equalized, sending a shot under a diving Andrew Kenneson into the left side of the net for his second successful penalty kick of the season. Davidson had a 9-6 edge in shots and UMass’ Jorge Becerra made two saves.
