UMass women, Duquesne draw

AMHERST, Mass. -- The UMass womenís teamís winless streak stretched to nine game with a 0-0 draw with Duquesne in an Atlantic 10 Conference match at Rudd Field Thursday.

Cassidy Babin made a season-high nine saves to earn her fourth shutout for UMass (2-9-3 overall, 0-5-2 A-10). Babin made two saves in the opening four minutes as the Dukes (9-4-3, 5-1-1) outshot UMass, 21-9.

UMass threatened in the opening half on Rebeca Friskís 44th-minute shot, saved by Kyra Murphy (four saves).

The Dukesí best chance came in the 86th minute as Katie O'Connor advanced on the left flank and fired far post, Babin barely deflected the shot along the goalline before it was cleared.

In the 100th minute, Babin made a save, and another in the 110th minute.
