Catamount women clip Charleston Southern

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. -- The Vermont women's team improved its winning streak to three games with a 3-1 victory over Charleston Southern Sunday.

Coco Speckmaier made a career-high 11 saves for the Catamounts (5-2-1). Savana Yurick scored her second goal of the season off a Nikki McFarland feed in the 21st minute and Colby Snyder finished another McFarland assist a minute later as the Catamounts took a 2-0 lead.

In the 49th minute, Caitie Green headed in Sarah Martinís left-foot corner kick for a three-goal advantage.

Jordan Newman scored in the 61st minute for Charleston Southern (4-4-0).
