Vemont women halted by Hartford Hawks

BURLINGTON, Vt. -- The Vermont womenís teamís winless streak extended to five games as the Catamounts fell, 1-0, to Hartford in an America East Conference match at Virtue Field Thursday night.

UVM (6-7-3 overall, 1-4-2 conference) threatened on a 10th-minute Savana Yurick shot, stopped by Jessica Jorg (four saves), and second half attempts by Julia Smith and Sarah Martin. Hartford (11-4-1, 5-1-1) broke the deadlock on Julia Carrís 74th-minute goal, her sixth of the season, a one-timer off a Haley Nolan pass, past a diving Coco Speckmaier (five saves).
