FORT LAUDERDALE STRIKERS 2, OTTAWA FURY FC 1
OTTAWA, Ontario---The Fort Lauderdale Strikers won their third consecutive road game, taking a 2-1 decision over the Ottawa Fury at TD Place Friday night.

Fort Lauderdale improved to 3-2-3, 12 pts, while Ottawa falls to 2-4-2, 8 pts.

Maicon Santos put the Strikers ahead in just the eighth minute, chipping in a through ball from Ramon Nuņez for his fourth goal of the season.

Giuseppe Gentile doubled the advantage in the second half, almost immediately after entering the game for an injured Maicon Santos. Gentile found space for a shot outside the box which bobbled in front of Ottawa goalkeeper Romuald Peiser as he watched it bounce into across the line.

Carl Haworth pulled one back for Ottawa from the penalty spot with 10 minutes remaining after Gentile was called for a handball.
