FC EDMONTON 1, FORT LAUDERDALE STRIKERS 0
EDMONTON, AB - Daryl Fordyce scored the only goal and Matt VanOekel registered his fifth clean sheet of the season as FC Edmonton defeated the Fort Lauderdale Strikers 1-0 at Clarke Field Sunday.

The win places the Eddies (6-3-3, 21 pts) just two points back of league leaders New York Cosmos. Fort Lauderdale is 4-4-4, 16 pts.

Edmonton's goal came in the 70th minute, when Jake Keegan picked out Fordyce with a long ball. The Northern Ireland midfielder took a touch before firing a shot past Diego Restrepo.

RAYO OKC 1, OTTAWA FURY FC 0
OTTAWA -- Rayo OKC capitalized on an eighth-minute own goal to take a 1-0 win over the Ottawa Fury 1-0 before a 6,308 crowd at TD Place Sunday.

Rayo (1-0-1, 4 points) set up the goal by earning a corner as Derek Boateng found Billy Forbes making a run on the right. Michelís corner kick then curled in off Marcel DeBellis

Ottawa (0-2-0, 0 points) came closest to the equalizer in the 69th minute when Kyle Porter collected a loose cross on the left side of the 18-yard box, cut right and fired a low strike, forcing Daniel Fernandes to make a diving stop.
