FC EDMONTON 2, NEW YORK COSMOS 1
EDMONTON, Alberta -- FC Edmonton to score twice in the final 12 minutes en route to a 2-1 win over the New York Cosmos at Clarke Stadium Wednesday night.

The Cosmos grabbed a 1-0 lead in the sixth minute on Juan Arango's second goal in as many matches after some nifty passes by Yasmani Duk and Yohandry Orozco. Latching onto an Orozco feed, Arango found himself open and he powered a shot past goalkeeper Matt VanOekel for his sixth goal of the year.
Edmonton's equalizer came as Tomi Ameobi ripped a shot on the left side of the penalty area that ricocheted off the right post to Ledgerwood, who slotted it past a helpless goalkeeper Jimmy Mauer.
The winner came when Ameobi raced through the Cosmos right flank and zipped a shot that Maurer saved. An unmarked Fordyce had an easy time knocking home the rebound for the winner as Edmonton recorded its seventh consecutive home win.
