Strikers win; Indy, Armada scoreless

JACKSONVILLE---Jon Busch made two saves to post his ninth shutout of the season, as Indy Eleven played to a 0-0 draw against the Jacksonville Armada Wednesday night at Community First Park.
The game was rescheduled from last Saturday due to Hurricane Mathew sweeping Florida’s Atlantic Coast late last week.
The Armada's Miguel Gallardo made five saves.
Indy, the spring champions are now 8-6-4, 28 pts Fall/16-6-10, 46 pts overall, while Jacksonville is 3-7-8, 17 pts Fall/4-12-12, 24 pts overall.
FORT LAUDERDALE STRIKERS 1, FC EDMONTON 0
LAUDERHILL, Fla.- Geison Moura scored in the first half to give the Fort Lauderdale Strikers a 1-0 win over FC Edmonton at Central Broward Stadium Wednesday night.
It took the home side just 11 minutes to score when Moura’s header from a well-placed cross by Julius James squeezed its way past Edmonton goalkeeper Tyson Farago, who did get a piece of the ball but not enough to deny the goalbound effort. Farago was making his first start of the season.
With the win, the Strikers (5-9-5, 20 pts Fall/9-12-8, 35pts overall) moved only three points behind fourth place Minnesota United FC, who occupy the last postseason position with 38 points. Edmonton falls to 9-4-6, 33 pts Fall/15-7-8, 50 pts overall.
