KC, Sky Blue draw 1-1, Flash tops Pride 1-0

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Sky Blue FC and FC Kansas City to a 1-1 draw in a National Women's Soccer League game at Yurcak Field.
In the 27th minute, Kansas City (1-4-3) was able to put the first goal of the evening on the board after midfielder Erika Tymrak sent a hard roller across the top of the 18-yard box to forward Shea Groom on her right. Groom then stepped into the distribution and struck a hard left-footed shot that found the back of the net.
Sky Blue FC (2-3-3, 9 points) responded in the 30th minute after Killion sent a ball over the top of the Kansas City defense for U.S. international Kelley O’Hara, who was taken down inside the area by midfielder Heather O’Reilly. The referee then pointed to the spot for a Sky Blue FC penalty kick, where Killion hammered it into the left-side netting to level the count at 1-1.

WESTERN NEW YORK FLASH 1, ORLANDO PRIDE 0
ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The Western New York Flash scored in the fourth minute and held on to defeat the Orlando Pride 1-0 Saturday night at Sahlen's Stadium.
Makenzy Doniak scored off a Jessica McDonaldo through ball on the right, finishing past Ashlyn Harris at the far post. Western New York improves to 5-3-0, 15 points, while the Pride falls to 4-4-0, 12 points.
The Orlando Pride fell behind to a fourth-minute goal in dropping a 1-0 decision to the Western New York Flash Saturday night.
Jasmyne Spencer appeared to level the score in the 21st minute, but the goal was disallowed for offside after a referee consultation.
In her first game back from international duty, Harris came up with five saves, including two on McDonald.
