ALLSTON, Mass. – Sarah Killion, Leah Galton and Erica Skroski scored to give Sky Blue FC a 3-2 win over the Boston Breakers at Jordan Field Sunday.

The Breakers took a 1-0 lead in the third minute, when Eunice Beckmann put two shots on target, both of which were blocked in front. Angela Salem pounced on the rebound of Beckmann’s second shot and hit it past Sky Blue FC keeper Caroline Casey.

In the 28th minute, Sky Blue FC leveled the match after Galton was taken down in the box and Killion calmly placed the ensuing try into the right-side netting.

Sky Blue FC took the lead in the 37th minute when Tasha Kai served a cross into the mouth of the goal that Galton finished at the far post.

In the 72nd minute, Sky Blue FC added an insurance goal as Kristin Grubka headed the ball to Skroski, who was able to put her own header on the feed and slip the ball inside the far post.

Julie King headed in a free kick from Louise Schillgard in the 85th minute to pull the Breakers within one, but Sky Blue FC managed to fend off Boston in the final five minutes plus stoppage time.
