KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Boston Breakers took a 2-0 win over FC Kansas City, improving their winning streak to two games, at Swope Soccer Village Sunday night.

Katie Schoepfer and Kristie Mewis scored their first goals of the season and Jami Kranich made six saves to earn her second consecutive shutout.

Mewis, making her first appearance since June 18, scored in the 81st minute. Schoepfer tallied in the 38th minute.

The Breakers improve to 3-11-1, 10 points while FC Kansas City is 4-8-4, 16 points.
