MEXICAN LEAGUE APERTURA
Make-up match week roundup

Dorados de Sinaloa 0, Veracruz 0
Dorados de Sinaloa and Veracruz played to a scoreless draw Tuesday at Estadio Banorte. The match had been postponed from Week 12.

Dorados had the game's first solid chance, but Carlos Pinto sent his shot inches wide of the far post. Veracruz netminder Meliton Hernandez also had to come up with an acrobatic save on Fernando Arce's 75th-minute attempt.

On the other end, netminder Louis Michel kept his clean sheet with a pair of early saves and a late, point-blank stop on Daniel Villalva.

Veracruz enter the final week of the season in the eighth and final playoff position at 7-3-6 and 24 points. Dorados (3-6-7, 15) are in 16th place.

Chivas 1, Atlas 0
Marco Fabian scored in the 77th minute to give Chivas de Guadalajara a 1-0 win over Atlas Wednesday at Estadio Jalisco. The Clasico Tapatia, originally scheduled for October 25, was postponed due to Hurricane Patricia.

Fabian challenged Zorros netminder Miguel Fraga in the first 33 minutes, first with a shot from inside the six-yard box, and then with a longer effort off the post. He finally broke through off a free kick, pushing the ball over the line from close-in.

Atlas pushed frantically for the equalizer, but 'keeper Tono Rodriguez came up with three late saves to preserve the win.

Both teams will miss the playoffs. 12th-place Chivas are 6-3-7 (21 pts) with one game remaining, three places ahead of Atlas (5-2-9 (17).

Pachuca 2, Cruz Azul 1
Cruz Azul defeated Pachuca 2-1 Saturday in a week 12 make-up match at Estadio Hidalgo.

Both teams had early chances, but Cruz Azul struck first and took a 1-0 lead into halftime on Juan Garcia Sancho free-kick header. Rafael Baca picked off a loose ball and sealed the win in the 73rd, providing enough of a cushion to give La Maquina full points despite Hirving Lozano's late goal for the Tuzos.

Both teams are well down in the standings, Cruz Azul in 14th place at 5-4-7 (19 pts) and Pachuca 13th at 6-3-7 (21).
